Giovanna was the Inclusion Specialist for The Orchard, the Google Childcare Center that our son, E, attended from age 3 to 4.
E has anxiety and a sensory processing disorder, which means he sometimes requires a more individualized and nuanced approach than other children. Giovanna consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of his needs and met him with extraordinary empathy and gentleness. We were particularly impressed by Giovanna's ability to make subtle changes to the classroom and environment that helped our son immensely. She stood by our side when other educators were hesitant to make any change to what they know, and delicately but persistently explained the data supporting her recommendations.
Throughout the year, Giovanna maintained open and transparent communication with us regarding E's progress. She celebrated his many achievements and successes, while also honestly addressing any challenges that arose.
